Daegu FC, the first division of the K-League, has recruited veteran side defender Jung Woo-jae, who boasts abundant experience and outstanding skills by playing in 265 K-League games. Jung Woo-jae, who returned to Daegu after six years, will immediately join the team and start preparing for the season in earnest.
"Jung Woo-jae, who uses both feet freely and combines fast speed and sophisticated crosses, is an optimized player for dynamic soccer pursued by Daegu," Daegu said on the 2nd. "Jung Woo-jae, who has the versatility to play both sides of defense, is expected to take an important role in the defense this year."
Jung Woo-jae joined Daegu in 2016 after making his professional debut at Seongnam FC in 2014 through Chungju Hummel. He has contributed greatly to Daegu's promotion to the K League 1 by becoming a main player from the first season, and has been active for three years, winning the FA Cup (currently the Korea Cup) in 2018.
After moving to Jeju United in 2019, Jung Woo-jae showed stable performance for four years, especially leading Jeju to promotion to the K League 1 in 2020. In 2023, he moved to Jeonbuk Hyundai and played an active role. But this year, he will wear the Daegu uniform again after six years.
Jung Woo-jae said, "It's a new feeling to be back in Daegu after six years," adding, "I always remembered the hard times we had together since the Daegu Stadium and had the regret of not being able to be with the fans at DGB Daegu Bank Park. I'm grateful for the opportunity again this time." 스포츠토토
